Young Social Innovators (YSI) promotes education for social innovation. They hold speak outs, events that give many senior young innovators a great opportunity to advocate and speak out about issues of concern to them as well as a chance to listen to the other teams who are making a difference. Each school entered comes to a regional Speak Out event and present their very own Speak Out to an audience of peers and local communities. Ursuline College Speak Out was held in Derry 7th April. There were four groups entered from our school.
One of our main themes was ‘Make Up’ and the content of mercury in it. Teams are invited from all regionals to the Young Social Innovators of the Year Awards & Showcase 2016 will take place on 10th May 2016 in Citywest Hotel, Conference and Event Centre, Saggart, Co. Dublin.
The teams will know by April 20th so we wish them the best of luck.
