In June 2017, students from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will join students from Germany in a project to remember soldiers from both sides who died in the Ypres region of Belguim in World War 1.

Maria Henehan 4 has won the chance to represent Connaught on this trip. She wrote an essay on what World War 1 meant to her and was picked from all our school entries and then picked to represent the Province. She will be researching a soldier from connaught who died in Flanders in 1917, prior to visiting Flanders in June 2017. Well done Maria.
